Cultural Experiences

As future leaders, we continually strive to build stronger ties with our communities and the individuals within them. It is through this understanding that we grow and develop broader world views that will shape and support our lives. We celebrate our history through traditions that honor the past while serving the future.

Each Ticktocker class has a different cultural focus every year:

  • 7th Grade – Peforming Arts/Musical Theatre
  • 8th Grade – Art/Museum
  • 9th Grade – Cultural Food
  • 10th Grade – Dance/Ballet
  • 11th Grade – Gardens
  • 12th Grade – Senior Choice (examples – Museum, Art, Theater, Ballet, Whale Watching, Ropes Course, Zip Lines)

Each year also includes programming that covers other key topics such as:

  • Art of Etiquette
  • High School Preparation
  • Exploring Cliques
  • Peer Pressure
  • Driving Skills and Save Road Behavior
  • Self Defense
  • Positive Identity:  Poise and Self Presentation
  • How to be a gracious host and guest
  • Poise in the spotlight
  • Safe Personal Behavior while in college
  • Transitioning from adolescence to adulthood
