Leadership Development

NCL, Inc. provides both mothers and daughters opportunities to identify and develop their own leadership style and to confidently polish their skills by serving community partners and their Chapter in various roles.

Members have opportunities to engage in experiences that build essential skills, such as confidence, public speaking, budgeting, consensus and team building, event planning, conflict resolution and parliamentary procedure. 

Every year each Ticktocker class has a variety of different focuses.  Beginning in the 7th grade the Ticktockers explore leadership styles, NCL, Inc. core values and develop friendships. In 8th grade they learn to communicate more effectively and lead their grade level meetings.  And learn about internet safety, social networking and building self-confidence.  As 9th graders, the girls further develop their time management skills and practice conflict resolution. The 10th grade Ticktockers learn about driving, personal safety and develop first aid skills.  In 11th grade the Ticktockers learn money management skills, prepare for future employment with interview skills and resume writing. Lastly, as seniors this class prepares for college, learning campus safety and event planning.  Also, the senior class mentors the younger Ticktockers and explores Sustainer opportunities.

Each Ticktocker class has Board Officers and Committee Members.
